Project Zomboid Fort Redstone Map (Build 41 Mod Guide)
Build 41 community map · Military base northwest of Rosewood · Author: Kraz
1516836158 remains public with Map and Military tags and a 2022-08-20 listed update.
The Workshop description states the map is not compatible with Build 42 yet and that a B42 port is on hold until official map tools ship.
The POI list below matches a Build 41 layout snapshot; pin positions can differ on other mod revisions.
Mod identity (Steam Workshop)
1516836158FORTREDSTONEFortRedstoneOfficial listing: Steam Workshop — Fort Redstone (1516836158). Author description highlights in-game map support, updated loot distributions, custom tilesets (including LV-era tiles), custom vehicle spawn points for modded military vehicles, no player start spawn on the base, and explicit Build 42 incompatibility until official map tools arrive.
Install and load order
Map=FortRedstone
- Single player: Subscribe on Steam → Main menu → Mods → enable
FORTREDSTONE→ start a new game (major map mods mid-save often fail or leave holes). - Hosted / dedicated server: add Workshop ID
1516836158to WorkshopItems, Mod IDFORTREDSTONEto Mods, and includeFortRedstoneon the Maps line with your other map folders. Keep map mods high in load order if cells overlap. - Dependencies: the listing ships its own custom tilesets; optional military vehicle mods are only needed if you want the author-mentioned custom vehicle spawn points filled.
- Build 42: the author states the map is not ready. Do not treat this as a current B42 map recommendation.
Location and access (from Workshop description)
The base sits northwest of Rosewood. There is no start spawn on the fort; the author tells players to head northwest from Rosewood until the road sign appears.
- Front vehicle gate: vehicle access needs a sledgehammer to clear barriers (author note).
- Rear vehicle route: forest rear vehicle access that does not require a sledgehammer (author note).
- On foot: perimeter fence has breaches for foot entry (author note).
- Guard towers: climbing guard towers is no longer possible on the current Workshop revision (author note).
How to read the pin list
(X, Y) for the Fort Redstone layer (roughly X 539–599 and Y 1109–1229 on this page).
They are not full world coordinates from the in-game debug menu, and floor (Z) or container instance IDs are not listed.
Categories are loot-route labels for a military base layout. The armory pin is a weapons-route pin, not a claim of a civilian gun shop room.
This page lists 14 pins across 4 categories, all inside the bounds above. Confirm critical buildings in your own save before basing a run on a single coordinate.
