Dismantling Furniture
Another method of increasing Carpenter skill is dismantling furniture. This grants experience based upon the object being dismantled. The 1 experience multiplier set in the sandbox can help you progress to level 5. You can do this by dismantling residential furniture.
Then, you can read a Carpentry Skill Book according to your current level. With this, dismantling furniture will provide a greater amount of experience. Prioritize Double Beds as they provide a massive amount of experience. This should be followed by Single Beds, Vertical Closets and Doors. Tables and Sofas occupying 2 compartments or frames are also reasonable. At higher levels, furniture of other types is not worth dismantling. This is because they will give you minimal amounts of experience.
I would advise you to use this order if there is a medium-large quantity of zombies in your world. If they are low, you can directly demolish Beds and Vertical Closets. Now go earn those sweet experience points! Good luck for your zombie adventures!
