Project Zomboid B42 Loot Settings: A Sane 0.6 Baseline
Project Zomboid B42 Loot Settings — Tuner
B42 loot stacks base multipliers + pre-looted buildings + diminished loot. Use a sane midpoint (often ~0.6), lower pre-looted chance, keep diminished loot low until you like the vibe, then test in an unvisited area.
Pick a preset, then judge results only in a fresh, unvisited chunk (or a new world) so you’re not looking at yesterday’s rolls.
Base loot multipliers + “world already picked over” systems.

Reminder
Changing sandbox loot won’t retroactively refill already-visited cells/containers. Test changes by looting a fresh area (or start a new world) before you judge.
Exact keys can differ by build/mods—use this as a checklist, not gospel.

B42 scavenging route sanity check
Before you touch sliders again: try a kitchen loop → garage/shed loop → office/warehouse loop. B42 distribution can feel different even when your loot quantity is fine.
