Tv not working?
If you're playing Project Zomboid on a multiplayer server, you may have noticed that TV shows have stopped broadcasting since the most recent patch. This appears to be a bug, and it's not clear what is causing the issue. For comprehensive server troubleshooting, also check our server administration guide. Here are some steps you can take to try and troubleshoot the problem. For TV schedule information, see our Life and Living TV schedule guide.
Step 1: Check Your Server's RAM
Some players have reported that boosting the server's RAM from 4 to 10 GB has helped fix the issue with TV shows not working on dedicated servers. If you're using a dedicated server, try increasing the RAM and see if that helps. For detailed guidance on server memory optimization, see our server memory guide. Some players have also reported success with 16 GB of RAM, so you may want to try that as well.
Step 2: Restart the Server
If increasing the RAM doesn't help, try restarting the server. This can sometimes fix issues with the game or server. To restart the server, go to the server menu and select "Restart."
Step 3: Wait for a Patch
If none of the above steps help, it's possible that the issue will need to be addressed in a future patch. Keep an eye on the game's official forums or social media channels for updates on when a patch might be released. In the meantime, you may want to try playing on a different server or in singleplayer mode. For additional multiplayer troubleshooting, check our server connection guide and general troubleshooting guide.
