Project Zomboid Night Events: Why the Dark Gets Weird
Project Zomboid — Night Events Tuner
“Night events” usually means two different things: Meta Events (distant screams/gunshots) and Sleeping Events (the bedroom zombie wake-up). Pick a vibe and generate a clean, playable setup.
Quick-Start (2 minutes)
1) Open Sandbox Options (new game or server/world settings).
2) Go to Sadistic AI Director and tune Meta Events and Sleeping Events.
3) Pick a preset below, then test it by sleeping once and walking a block at night.

Fast rule of thumb
Want spooky atmosphere but zero “teleport zed in my base” nonsense? Set Sleeping Events = Never and keep Meta Events on Low.

Click one. The right panel generates a setup card you can keep next to your sandbox menu.
