Raven Creek Survival Tips
Embrace Stealth
In Raven Creek, attracting a large horde is practically a death sentence. With the sheer number of zombies packed into a tight space, you need to embrace the art of sneaking. Prioritize silent movement and rely on melee weapons.
Key Actions: Walk don't run, use whisper key (Q) to draw small groups, kill zombies one by one.
Plan Your Routes
The narrow streets and interconnected buildings can quickly turn into deadly traps if you're not careful. Before venturing into a new area, take a moment to scout ahead and always have an escape route in mind.
Key Actions: Study the map before moving, identify landmarks, create markers for safe paths.
Resourcefulness is Key
Open spaces for farming and easy foraging are scarce in Raven Creek. You'll need to be incredibly resourceful when it comes to finding and managing your supplies.
Key Actions: Prioritize rooftop gardens, collect rainwater from tall buildings, establish multiple storage caches.
Choose Starting Location Wisely
Some starting points in Raven Creek are significantly more challenging than others. You might find yourself spawning surrounded by zombies, making immediate survival incredibly difficult.
Key Actions: Try to reach the edge of the city for an easier start, choose professions with stealth bonuses.
Weapon Choice Matters
While guns might seem appealing for large groups of zombies, the noise generates unwanted attention. Melee weapons are often safer for quieter takedowns.
Key Actions: Carry both melee and ranged weapons, craft spears early (planks + kitchen knives).
Fortify Your Base
Once you manage to find a relatively safe building, make it your fortress. Barricade doors and windows, and consider reinforcing them with metal sheets for added protection.
Key Actions: Choose a smaller, easily defensible building with few entry points, ideally on upper floors.
Vehicle Management
Navigating Raven Creek with vehicles is challenging due to numerous crashed cars blocking roads. Plan vehicle routes carefully and be prepared to abandon your car if necessary.
Key Actions: Park at city edges, memorize clear routes, keep gas siphoning equipment handy.
Multi-Story Awareness
Raven Creek's vertical nature means zombies can fall or move between floors. Secure all stairwells and be aware of zombies piling up from floors above or below.
Key Actions: Listen for thumping sounds from other floors, destroy stairs for ultimate security.
