In the post-apocalyptic world of Project Zomboid, corpses are a fact of life. But what do you do with them when they accumulate? There are a few ways to properly and safely get rid of dead bodies, so that they don’t attract zombies or unwanted attention.
One option is to dissect the bodies and collect zombie meat. To do this, you’ll need an unbroken axe, hunting knife, or kitchen knife, and a mod called DissectCorpse. Right click on the ground to dissect the corpse and collect the meat.
Another option is to burn the bodies. Gather combustible materials such as wood planks, newspapers, and other flammable objects. Create a campfire kit, fuel it, and find a safe spot to ignite the materials. This will damage the zombie and set the surrounding area on fire, creating a hazard for any other zombies in the area.
A third option is to bury the bodies. Equip a shovel and right-click on a piece of grass or dirt to dig a grave. Right-click the grave and you will see an option to bury the corpse. You can bury up to five corpses in each grave.
Finally, an easier way to dispose of bodies is to use a trash can. Gather a dumpster and a crowbar, place the corpse in the dumpster, and press the “Delete All” button.
No matter which method you choose, make sure to do it discreetly and quickly to avoid attracting attention from zombies or other survivors. Disposing of dead bodies in Project Zomboid may seem like a daunting task, but with the right supplies and knowledge, it can be done safely and efficiently.
